Located on the pristine Central Coast of California, Santa Barbara is often referred to as the American Riviera®. The city is framed by the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez mountains creating a dramatic coastline. With its tree lined streets and paseos, Santa Barbara offers wining & dining, art, history & culture, shopping, gardens and outdoor activities galore. Our park is just 1.5 miles from the beach, and about 2.5 miles from downtown.
Walk or Ride Your Bike to the Beach
Turn left out of the RV Park driveway onto Salinas Street. Walk two blocks to the stop sign and turn right on Old Coast Highway. Walk ¾ of a mile until you see a ramp on your right that goes under the freeway. Just after you cross under the freeway there is a lovely biking and walking path that runs along the beach all the way to downtown. Check out Santa Barbara Bcycle and Santa Barbara Bikes To Go for bike rentals!
Take the Bus Downtown
Just two blocks from the park is a city bus stop. Turn left out of the park driveway onto Salinas Street. Walk two blocks to the stop sign. The bus stop is on the corner of Punta Gorda Street and Salinas. Take the #2 bus to the Transit Center which is a block off of State Street in the main downtown area. The bus runs every 15 minutes and takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center. You can get a pass directly on the bus, through the app or at the downtown Metro Center.
